Taco Flavored Snack Mix
I was looking for an easy snack recipe to make for our trip to Cumberland Island tomorrow. I came up with Taco Flavored Snack Mix. A quick and easy mix to munch on while touring the island.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Bugles
- 2 Cups Bagel Chips
- 4 Cups Cheese Crackers
- 5 Cups Pre-popped Popcorn
- 2 Cups Pretzels
- 2 Cups Potato Sticks (Pik-Nik)
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 1 Package of Taco Seasoning Mix
I grabbed my favorite snacks that I thought would be enhanced with a bit of taco seasoning on them. Pick your favorite snacks, mix and match and come up with your own creation, using my list as a guide. Or just use my list, it turned out so tasty. I can’t stopped eating it.
Directions
Pour the Bugles, bagel chips, crackers, popcorn, pretzels and potato sticks into a large bowl. Mix up the snacks.
Next, either on the stovetop in a sauce pan or in a microwave safe bowl, melt the stick of butter. Add the taco seasoning to the butter and whisk until well blended.
Then, because this was so much easier for me, pour the snacks into foil roasting pan. Finally pour the the taco seasoning onto the snack mix, mixing well as you pour.
Bake
Bake the mix at 200 degrees for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
After baking, pour the mix on a paper toweled lined table to cool. After about 20 minutes it should be cooled enough to store in an air tight container or a gallon baggie. Or just go ahead and start eating this addictive mix.
