Easy Rainy Day Mini S’more Pies
The weather doesn’t always cooperate on camping trips. That is why it is handy to have supplies on hand to make Easy Rainy Day Mini S’more Pies. This is such a great treat that kids will love without damping their camping spirit. You can also make these at home like I did, when you crave a S’more and don’t want to build a campfire.
Ingredients
- Ready Made Mini Graham Cracker Pie Crusts
- Chocolate Bars
- Marshmallows (Mini or Large)
Tools
I found this kitchen torch on Amazon that I really like to make these Rainy Day Mini S’more Pies. It is so fast and easy to use that making these mini pies is a snap. Just be careful when using it and never allow children to play with it. It is not a toy. Also don’t forget to buy the butane fuel.
Directions
The first thing I did was warm up my graham cracker mini pie crusts in the toaster oven. If you don’t have a toaster oven or an oven in your camper just skip this step. The chocolate might not be as melted, but that’s ok, it will still taste like a S’more.
The next step is to place about 6 squares of the chocolate bar in your mini pie shell.
Then decide if you want mini marshmallows or the large marshmallows on your mini S’more pie. Both taste fantastic!
Now comes the fun part, roasting the marshmallows. Just a warning, the marshmallows can catch on fire, just like roasting them over a camping fire. I personally like my marshmallows burnt and I toasted mine well. Be prepared to blow out a few flames.
The mini S’more pies turned out beautifully, with only few flames to put out.
Now just grab a fork or a spoon and enjoy your hard work!
