Relaxing on the Beach at St. Andrews State Park, Florida
Take a weekend to recharge and relax on the beach at St. Andrews State Park in Florida. Located near Panama City, Florida, it offers emerald green waters and white sandy beaches. The perfect place to enjoy water sports, wildlife watching and of course camping. Campsites We were lucky to score a campsite at St. Andrews State Park over Memorial Day Weekend. This is a hard park to get into and we made our reservations almost a year in advance. Our campsite was small, but worked out well for us since our camper is on the small side as well. These are well maintained sites with full hook-ups; electric, water and…

Enjoy a Weekend Escape to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
I turned the big 50 last weekend and spent it at the beautiful Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. This gorgeous beach is located near Santa Rosa Beach in the panhandle of Florida. It was the perfect spot to celebrate, relax and reflect on my 50 years of life. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Topsail Hill is so named because the white dunes of the beach resemble the white sails of ships that passed by on the Emerald Coast. My pictures do not to justice to the beauty of this park and colors of the water. You will just have to go to experience this undeveloped and unspoiled spot of nature.…

Relaxing on the Beach at Anastasia State Park
We spent a relaxing weekend at beautiful Anastasia State Park in Florida. The park is located in historic St. Augustine and has been on our bucket list for a long time. We finally got to experience why it so loved by campers and beach goers. Camping The campsites at the state park are cozy, meaning they can be a bit tight to back your camper into. Check the warnings on camper size when reserving a site. If the reservation tells you there is an issue, believe it. All campsites come with a fire pit, picnic table, water and electric. There is a dump station nearby. Restrooms are conveniently located in…

Camping at Huguenot Memorial Park
We spent the weekend camping at Huguenot Memorial Park, a city campground in Jacksonville, Florida. This was the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of nature, passing ships and relaxing on a white sanded beach. Campsites The campsites at Huguenot are close together, but it didn’t feel crowded to us. We had a corner spot, #43, that was located near the road to the beach. The roadway can be busy with vehicles at times, but traffic stops a 7 at night when the beach closes to vehicles. The campsites have electric hookups, which is fantastic for running your air conditioner in the camper. There are no water hook ups. We…
