Free National Park Pass for 4th Graders
I was so excited when my youngest son started school this year because of the 4th Grader National Park Pass. This is an absolutely great opportunity to get your family outside to explore all the National Parks, Lands and Waters of our great nation. For Free!
How To Get The Pass
Getting the pass is easy. Visit here to get information on the pass. Have your 4th Grader answer a few simple questions and you are ready to print your pass. Your paper pass can be exchange for a real pass at certain parks when you visit.
The 4th Grader National Park Pass is good from September 1st, 2019 to August 31st, 2020. This is the 2019 to 2020 school year, but this program is available every year for incoming 4th Graders. If you don’t have a 4th Grader yet come back when you do. Hopefully this awesome program is still available.
Why I Love It
I absolutely love this program because not only does your 4th Grader get in free, so does any other children you have under 16. This also includes up to three adults, so that can be parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles.
This gets the whole family into a National Park for free. How awesome is that!
I also love that 4th grade teachers can print passes for their students. This is a great opportunity for teachers to introduce their students to National Parks and give them a way to explore the parks for free with their families.
Where to Go
Deciding where to go is going to be the hardest thing about this pass. There are so many places I want to explore with my family. For a complete list of parks that will accept the pass visit here. This a complete list, by state, of all the parks, monuments and waterways to explore.
Plan
Start planning your next adventure with your family and the 4th Grade National Park Pass. This a fantastic opportunity to introduce kids to the National Parks and truly enjoy the beauty of public lands. Teach the next generation to enjoy and protect these national treasures.
Update
We were finally able to use my 4th Grader’s National Park Pass when we visited Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia.
My son was also issued is own 4th Grade National Park Pass.
We also picked up a National Park Passport book and did our first stamp.
2020-2021 Update
COVID messed up a lot of travel plans last year so the National Park Service is allowing current 5th Graders to explore the great outdoors. Click here to get a pass for current 5th graders. Good until the end of August 2021.
