1 – Anastasia State Park
One of my favorite parks in Florida is Anastasia State Park. I have such fond memories of camping here with my family that it will always hold a special place in my heart. The park is located in historic St. Augustine, so be prepared to explore the downtown, you will be amazed by the history of this town and the architecture of the buildings. Then there is the beach; it is amazingly pristine and such a special place to relax. My boys loved this beach; we stayed until almost dark the nights we camped because they didn’t want to leave. Florida Camping
Camping in Florida, no matter the time of year, is going to be a challenge attaining a reservation. This is especially true at popular state parks. You may have to plan almost a year out to score a reservation, but you won’t be disappointed.
The list I made is just my opinion. It is not based on any polling or scientific data. I just made a list of places I knew my kids loved and had a memorable time. If someone were to ask me where they should go for spring break, this is what I would tell them. It depends on the type of camper you are and what your family loves to do.
