Have an Amazing Camping Experience at Canopy Oaks
Our Spring Break plans of camping in Georgia changed last week but we were able to grab a campsite at Resort at Canopy Oaks. We are not resort campers, we usually camp at state parks, but this resort may change our minds. Resort at Canopy Oaks is located outside of Lake Wales, Florida. Our Campsite This probably the best campsite, site 167, we have ever had while camping. This is a newer resort, so everything is pristine. The site was level, paved and clean. Camping lights not only brighten up your campsite but they are also a great way to express the individuality of your camper. Stand out at the campground with some awesome new camper lights. Lantern Lights The above lights are what we currently use on our camper. I love the colors and they definitely stand out in a campground in the day. A Weekend at Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park
We spent the weekend at Florida’s newest state parks, Ruby B. Kirby Gilchrist Blue Springs, located near the small town of High Springs. This over 400 acre park was once privately owned and operated from the 1960’s until it was sold to the state in 2017. It is truly a gem that is home to a several natural springs besides Gilchrist.
