We finally used my son’s 4th Grade National Park Pass to visit a park near us, Cumberland Island National Seashore. If you read about our experience at Crooked River State Park you already know that we have been wanting to visit this island. We literally missed the boat on our last camping trip because we didn’t plan the ferry trip. We did get our reservations for the ferry ahead of time for this trip, so no mishaps. Dutch Oven Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding was a dish we experimented with while on a recent camping trip. I made it again over the weekend with regular sized refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and it worked just as well. Ingredients 2 Cinnamon Roll Refrigerated Dough 1 Can Apple Pie Filling 1 Cup Warm Milk 1/2 Stick of melted Butter 1 Teaspoon Vanilla 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar – to sprinkle on top (optional) Directions First cut the the cinnamon rolls up into small pieces. Two Florida State Parks on Amelia Island
Sometimes in life you miss the boat, for us it was the ferry to Cumberland Island. Although we were disappointed, we discovered two Florida State Parks a short drive away on Amelia Island. We were fortunate enough to have time to explore both of them before heading back to our campsite at Crooked River State Park in Georgia. Dutch Oven Macaroni and Cheese
Our latest camping trip, Crooked River State Park, was a bit chilly and rainy. It was a great idea that we decided to try making Dutch Oven Macaroni and Cheese. This dish was such a comfort and went well with our dinner of grilled hamburgers.
