On our last camping trip we went to beautiful High Falls State Park in Georgia. This was such a great camping adventure for us and we had so much fun. Indian Springs State Park
While camping at High Falls State Park in Georgia a couple of weeks ago we visited another Georgia state park just a few miles away. Indian Springs State Park was an interesting park to explore. History Indian Springs State Park is rich in history and natural beauty. The Creek Indians once used the springs for healing the sick. It was an important site to the Creek and held great significance to them. The state of Georgia took over the land from the Indians in the 1820’s and it became a growing tourist destination. Dutch Oven Cheesy Potatoes
On our last camping trip to High Falls State Park in Georgia we brought along our Dutch oven to make Cheesy Potatoes. We called this dish scalloped potatoes growing up. This is basically my Mom’s recipe put into a Dutch oven, for an amazing side dish for your next camping adventure. High Falls State Park
The kids were on spring break last week so a little camping trip was much needed. We chose a campground out of state, but not that far from home. High Falls State Park in Georgia was our next camping adventure. High Falls State Park High Falls State Park was once a well established town in the 1800’s. It fell on hard times after a railroad bypassed the town. Businesses closed and people moved, it became a ghost town. We love camping in Florida and apparently so do a lot of other campers. Finding a campsite for a weekend getaway can be frustrating. You will quickly realize that the more popular campgrounds are booked months in advance, especially during the winter months.
