Summer Bucket List – Get Outside
Every summer I try to plan things for my family to do and every year the summer gets away from us. Last summer a certain video game got the best of us. It won’t this summer.
The boys are growing up so fast. I want to plan as much family time together as possible. So this year I made a Summer Bucket List of things we can do together and a few I can do without them to keep sane.

Checked Off
We have started a few a these a bit early. My salsa garden being one of these.
A good thing about living in Florida is being able to plant a garden in February. The plants are starting to mature, so if the rabbits would be so kind as to leave my plants alone I should have some tomatoes and peppers soon. Although I had to plant my cilantro from seed because my husband picked up a parsley plant by accident. It’s doing quite well.
Another item checked off the list early is flying a kite. My youngest son used his Amazon gift card to buy this kite and couldn’t wait to try it out.
I was pretty impressed with this kite. It isn’t like the cheap plastic ones I had as a kid, and the tail on it is amazingly long. You can find it here. Buy extra string though because he used all the string that came with it when he flew it.
Summer
Summer will be here before you know it. I hope to check off as many items as I can this summer and add them to this post as I do.
Make your own Summer Bucket List and enjoy new adventures with your family. And Get Outside!

Update:
We marked a few thing off our Summer Bucket List.
Go for hike in the woods. Our day trip to Ravine Gardens State Park marked this off the list. Check out my blog post about this amazing state park here.
Enjoy a Lazy Day at the Beach. After our morning hike at the Ravine Gardens State Park, we spent the rest of day at Flagler Beach. A great place to park for the day is the Gamble Rogers State Park. It was only $5.00 to park and restrooms were available. This would be a great place to camp, if you can get a reservation.
Learn to Make Giant Bubbles We spent a hot afternoon perfecting these giant bubbles. Check out my blog post How to Make a Rustic Bubble Wand to learn how we made giant bubbles with a homemade wand.
Go Kayaking in a Clear Kayak We did this last Friday when we went on a bioluminescent kayak tour. Check out my post 5 Things to Bring on a Nighttime Kayak Tour to learn about this an amazing experience.
Camp at a Beach We marked this one off this weekend camping at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. We also marked off Make S’mores. We are on a roll!
We marked a lot off our list on our trip to the midwest. I Made Sangria, Watched Fireworks, half of us went to a Waterpark. We also Watched a Dirt Track Race, Visited Family, Gossiped with my Sisters, Ate Cotton Candy, had a Backyard Cookout. We visited a Historic Landmark, Watched a Movie Under the Stars, Went on a Road Trip, Played Pickleball, Stayed up Late, Grilled Outside, and Caught Lightning Bugs.
I went on Walks with my Mom, tried to go Geode Hunting and Got Lost on a Country Road. I Explored my tiny Hometown and have done a lot of Reading Outside.
My Salsa Garden fried under the hot Florida Sun so Making Homemade Salsa might not make it off the list.
